Inter are working on trying to sign Mario Gotze from Borussia Dortmund in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report from Tuttosport.
Reports in the media recently have suggested that the Nerazzurri were looking to try and acquire the midfielder on a free transfer next Summer once his deal with der BVB expires but the Turin based news outlet are instead reporting that the Nerazzurri want him in at the club as soon as possible.
Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio are hopeful of taking advantage of his contractual situation in January by getting him on a cheap deal from the German giants, who he has made over 200 appearances for either side of a spell at fellow German powerhouses Bayern Munich.
This season the 63-time German international has been limited to just two substitute appearances for a total of 23 minutes on the field.
