Inter’s Dutch international central defender Stefan de Vrij is back to training with the rest of the squad, Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport reports.

Nerazzurri coach Antonio Conte was forced to leave the player out of the squad for Inter’s first two games of the season due to a muscle problem the 27-year-old suffered during the warm-up of the match against Lecce.

Former Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin also worked hard in the training sessions this week to reach peak fitness after making his debut for the Nerazzurri in their victory over Cagliari last week.

Javier Zanetti presided over the last two days of training due to his close relationship with Conte, which saw the two defenders in good condition.

This is good news for the Inter coach, who will be hoping to achieve his third win in a row with the Nerazzurri against Udinese next week, where he is also hoping to have newly signed forward Alexis Sanchez at his disposal.
