Inter have decided to not respond to the recent statements made by Wanda Nara, the wife and agent of former Inter captain Mauro Icardi, Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

According to the report, the Nerazzurri will not make a public statement following Wanda’s comments after Mauro Icardi was loaned out to Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain, where she claimed that her husband leaving Inter “is not a divorce, Mauro and Inter are like couple taking a break.”

Inter’s management are hoping Icardi will choose PSG over a return to the Nerazzurri due to the terms in his new contract with the Milanese side, which expires at the end of June 2022.

In the new contract signed, Icardi will earn €7 million net per season in the final year of the contract, meaning even if the Argentinian striker decides to return to Inter next summer, his wages will stay at €4.5 million net for another season.

However, if the Parisian club decide to purchase the player after his loan for €70 million, there would be a salary increase including bonuses that would add up to €10 million net per season, which may tempt Icardi into staying in Ligue 1 instead of returning to Inter.
