Former Inter winger Philippe Coutinho is one of the top ten transfer market deals for Liverpool since 2010, according to Liverpool based newspaper the Liverpool Echo.

The 27-year-old Brazilian moved from the Nerazzurri to Brendan Rodgers’ Liverpool in January 2013 for around €9 million and five years later netted the Reds a profit of over €100 million when he was sold to Spanish giants Barcelona.

However, things in Catalonia have not gone to plan for Coutinho, who has struggled to settle in Barcelona and agreed to a loan deal this summer with Bavarian side Bayern Munich, with the Bundesliga champions having an option to purchase the player next summer for €120 million.

The 27-year-old spent three seasons with the Nerazzurri before signing for Liverpool, being signed aged only 16. He made 47 appearances for Inter, scoring five goals and providing four assists in just over 2300 minutes.

The player will be hoping to revitalise his career in Germany after a disappointing season and a half with Barcelona.
