The official UEFA Champions League Twitter paid tribute to former Inter striker Samuel Eto’o last week after the Cameroonian striker announced his retirement from football.
The former Inter and Barcelona forward won three Champions League titles in his career, two with Spanish giants Barcelona and one in the famous treble season with Inter.
Eto’o made 102 appearances for the Nerazzurri in his two seasons in Milan, scoring 53 goals and providing 25 assists in that time.
The caption of the tweet reads: “Happy retirement, three-time UCL winner Samuel Eto’o!”
