Paris Saint Germain president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has shared his delight at his side’s latest acquisition in Mauro Icardi from Inter.
The Argentine striker joined the Ligue 1 side on transfer deadline day little over a week ago in a season long loan deal with PSG having an option to make his stay at the Parc des Princes a permanent one for a reported sum of €65 million at the end of this season.
“He is really a great striker and we are happy to have him on board. His scoring numbers in Serie A show that he is a strong player and he is someone that we wish to focus on,” Al-Khelaifi, who has been at the helm of the club since 2011, said in an interview with Corriere dello Sport.
“Do you want to know if we will buy him at the end of the season? Let’s see…,” the Qatari businessman concluded.
