Alexis Sanchez is set to be handed his Inter debut in this weekend’s match at home to Udinese according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 30-year-old will partner Romelu Lukaku up top in Inter boss Antonio Conte’s 3-5-2 system and it will not be the first time that the duo play alongside eachother in a strike force either having done so at previous club Manchester United.

If their previous seasons are anything to go by, the partnership promises to bring a lot of goals over the course of the season.

In the past five season, Lukaku has scored on average 22.6 goals a season across all competitions whilst Sanchez has averaged 17.

Lukaku and Sanchez’s numbers are quite a bit higher than each of the other two striking options at the club in Matteo Politano and Lautaro Martinez.

Politano has averaged 7.5 goals in the past five years but it must be remembered that he is not an out and out striker whilst Lautaro Martinez has averaged 12 goals in each of his three professional seasons.
