Hernan Crespo has shared his admiration of Inter striker Lautaro Martinez off the back of the 22-year-old netting his first hat-trick for the Argentine national team.

“He is really like a bull, just like his nickname. He is a fantastic player,” Crespo started an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport.

“First of all, I admire his flexibility. Whether playing as the first or second striker, he is the same. He can be dangerous and decisive in both positions. Then he has technique a lot of technique too. Juan Sebastian Veron was right about him.

“Veron told me a year ago that Lautaro was lacking nothing. I had some doubts at the time but having studied him, I must admit that we are looking at a striker sure to have a good future.”

He concluded by discussing the effect that Inter manager Antonio Conte could have on him.

“Conte is an absolute phenomenon and if Lautaro follows the instructions of the coach, listens, applies himslf and works like a madman, he can become a great player. With Romelu Lukaku he forms a perfect partnership.”
