Geert Emmerechts, who was Romelu Lukaku’s manager when he was at Anderlecht, has tipped the Belgian striker to score a tonne of goals in his debut campaign in Nerazzurri following his Summer arrival from Manchester United.

“I have always been convinced that Lukaku had great potential, but I did not expect that he would establish himself as one of the best strikers in the world,” he told derbyderbyderby.it.

“I believe that Lukaku, Sanchez and Lautaro can all play together, with the Chilean starting on the right and the young Argentinian playing as the second striker.

“The Serie A is one of the most important competitions in Europe. Wherever he has been, he has always been successful. I hope that he can find joy again, which is something he lost at the end of his time in the Premier League. He can easily score 25 goals and if he takes penalties maybe even 30.”

He also spoke on Mauro Icardi’s departure from the club.

“Icardi played for Inter for several seasons, scoring many goals and even wearing the captain’s armband. If I were to chose between him or Lukau, I would always choose Romelu, who I hope becomes a demigod at Inter.”
