Lautaro Martinez’s agent Beto Yaque has come out to clarify comments he made earlier regarding the Argentine striker and his future.

Yaque said in a recent interview that it would be nice to see his client playing alongside national team teammate Lionel Messi but insists that his comments were misinterpreted.

“I was asked if I would like to see Lautaro play with Lionel Messi. Obviously I answered yes. I’m glad the two are playing together in Argentina, but I definitely don’t want Lautaro going to Barcelona. I was just misinterpreted,” he said in an interview with FCInterNews.it.

“Lautaro is very happy at Inter, he wants to win many important things with the club. Now that the team is even more competitive, he is happier than ever. There is no chance of him leaving. Antonio Conte rates him too.”

He concluded by discussing the ongoing contract renewal talks with the club.

At the end of October I will return to Milan to define further details. I can guarantee that both Lautaro and I are totally open to renewing his contract with the Nerazzurri. He wants to be of the key figures in the future.”
