The refereeing appointments for the third round of 2019/20 Serie A action have been made official by the Lega Serie A with Maurizio Mariani appointed to referee Inter’s match with Udinese.

This will be Mariani’s second refereeing appointment of the season with him having taken charge of the whistle in Torino’s 2-1 victory over Sassuolo on the opening day of the season at the end of August.

As per WhoScored.com, Mariani awarded 35 fouls during the match at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino and was forced to pull out a yellow card on no less than seven occasions.

The 37-year-old will be assisted on Saturday night at San Siro by Stefano Liberti and Dario Cecconi whilst Rosario Abisso has been appointed to fulfil the duties of the fourth official.

Marco Guida will be in charge of looking after VAR and Valentino Fiorito will be there to assist him.

Inter vs Udinese is scheduled to kick off at 20:45 CET.
