Stefano Boeri has wished the remaining participants in the race to win the right to be behind the design of Inter and AC Milan’s proposed new stadium well.

Boeri, who is perhaps most famously known for his Bosco Verticale design, was one of an initial four parties to show an interest but his and a plan from architecture firm Hok have been discarded leaving the Populous group and Cmr left in the race.

“I want to be very clear, we received a notice from the clubs saying that we were not selected. I pass on my best wishes to those who have been selected so that they can carry out this beautiful, delicate and important project for the city,” he explained in an interview with news agency ANSA.

“I am certain that the two teams understand just how important it is, also for the their interest, to ensure that this project is truly participated in and shared.”
