Former Italian international striker Fabio Bazzani is of the belief that Inter striker Lautaro Martinez can really benefit from working under new Inter manager Antonio Conte.

“Lautaro Martinez is an important player, he did good things last year but not with consistency. Under Antonio Conte he can grow a lot but Inter did well to take others to increase the competition. He will have space anyway, given the amount of matches,” the 42-year-old, who most famously played for Sampdoria, explained in an interview with Tutto Mercato Web Radio.

Bazzani then went on to praise Martinez’s strike partner Romelu Lukaku and he also named who he thinks will be the surprise player of the season in Serie A.

“Romelu Lukaku can do very good things with Conte too. For me it will be the year of Joaquin Correa, who already did very good things last year with Simone Inzaghi at Lazio.”
