Napoli’s Dries Mertens: “Lukaku Will Make A Difference For Inter”

Dries Mertens is convinced that his Belgian national team teammate Romelu Lukaku will be a success in Italian football following his recent arrival at Inter over the Summer.

Lukaku joined the Nerazzurri from Premier League giants Manchester United in a club record €65 million deal during the Summer transfer window and has got off to the perfect start for his new side having scored in each of his two appearances for the club to date.

“He will bring strength and a lot of quality. You will see that he will make a difference for Inter. Lukaku is a great purchase for Italian football,” the Napoli attacker said in an interview with Milan based news outlet Corriere della Sera.

Mertens then concluded the interview by going on to praise Lukaku for his professionalism and dedication to training: “He always trains before and after the scheduled training sessions. He never stops being on the pitch.”
