Former Inter striker Carlo Muraro has shared his views on Mauro Icardi’s transfer deadline switch to Paris Saint Germain from Inter.

“Inter have turned a corner when they put Mauro Icardi to the side. Now it is up to Antonio Conte to get Inter closer to Juventus and reduce the gap with them. The team’s performances on the field will indicate whether this team is stronger than last year,” Muraro, who spent 11 years with the club across two spells, explained in an interview with Radio Sportiva.

Muraro then spoke on Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez, who both joined the Nerazzurri over the Summer from Premier League outfit Manchester United.

“I would not exclude seeing Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez playing together with Lautaro Martinez one day. For now the Argentine starts ahead of the Chilean but Lautaro Martinez has been away with the national team and has only returned very close to the match.”
