Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa has found a whole new level in the months since Jorge Jesus took charge of Flamengo according to a report from Colunadofla.com.

The Brazilian striker, who is currently on loan at the Mengao from Inter until the end of this year, has currently scored more goals than he has made appearances since Jesus’ appointment back in June.

Gabigol has netted 15 goals in 13 appearances across all competitions and has also contributed four assists in that time meaning he has played a part in 19 goals.

The Brazilian giants are known to want to sign the 23-year-old striker on a permanent basis but they will reportedly have to stump up at least €18 million to do so with Inter keen to avoid making a loss on the player they spent €30 million on.

They may also have to give Inter a right of first refusal on their teen sensation, Lincoln, who is being widely tipped to have a bright future.
