Former Inter Manager Jose Mourinho has revealed the reasoning why he opted to depart the Nerazzurri after winning the treble to take charge of Spanish giants Real Madrid.

“I came to Spain because I wanted to manage Real Madrid and because I wanted to try to be the first manager to win the title in England, Italy and Spain,” the Portuguese tactician said whilst speaking at a La Liga organised event earlier on tonight.

Former Inter striker Samuel Eto’o was also present at the event and Mourinho, who is still yet to get back into management since leaving Manchester United at the end of last year, reminisced about the Cameroonian striker, who played an integral part in Inter’s treble success.

“Samuel played for me and for teams against me and I learned a lot from having him as a player and I learned a lot from playing against him too.”
