Alexis Sanchez is not expected to start Inter’s game tonight against Udinese on the bench, according to Rome based newspaper il Corriere dello Sport.

Coach Antonio Conte is reportedly planning to start 26-year-old Italian winger Matteo Politano ahead of the Chilean forward, with Romelu Lukaku leading the attack.

The report details that the 50-year-old Italian coach is planning to line-up the Nerazzurri in either a 3-5-2 or 3-4-2-1 formation, with 24-year-old midfielder Stefano Sensi playing a more forward role in the latter system.

33-year-old former Atletico Madrid defender Diego Godin, Stefan de Vrij and Milan Škriniar will defend as a trio for the first time, with Valentino Lazaro set to make his Inter debut, even though coach Conte prefers 32-year-old Antonio Candreva over the Austrian.

Conte may be delaying new arrival Alexis Sanchez’s debut for a more critical game, like next week’s Champions League opener against Slavia Prague, in order to test another system.
