Inter’s Italian international attacker Matteo Politano was pleased that the Nerazzurri were able to break the deadlock just before halftime, he told Italian broadcaster DAZN after the first 45 minutes in the Serie A clash against Udinese at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district.

“We knew that it would be difficult but we did well to score and unblock the match, now we have to continue like this.”

The former Sassuolo player was also asked what he thought of the situation where Udinese’s Rodrigo De Paul was sent off but he claimed he had not seen the incident and so he could not make a comment.

Inter lead Udinese by a goal after the first half at home at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, after new summer signings Diego Godin crossed an excellent ball into the penalty area which Stefano Sensi latched onto and headed into the back of the net.
