Inter’s Italian international midfielder Stefano Sensi, who was the match-winner in tonight’s 1-0 victory over Udinese, spoke to Inter TV after the match and was very pleased.

“I’m happy with the goal because it’s always a unique emotion, especially in front of our fans. It was a movement that the coach asked us to do: we tried it out this week. Udinese is a tough team, I’m happy to win even though we have to close some of the games earlier.”

“We think game to game. Tonight, we’re celebrating this victory, but tomorrow we’ll be able to get back on our feet because we have to prepare for another great match. We just have to do well. Now the difficulties are increasing: we’re going to have a tough month. We’ll have to stay focused: the mental energies are those that make you stay clear.”

Sensi was thankful towards the Nerazzurri’s fans.

“Thanks to the fans, let’s hope this goes on. I need to improve a lot more: thanks to the team, the training sessions and the coach, I think I can do it. I have to try.”

Finally, Sensi spoke of the comparisons between him and former Barcelona star Andrea Iniesta.

“It makes me happy, being compared to Iniesta is emotional and stimulates me to do more. But I must keep my feet on the ground.”
