Inter forward Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa scored against last night for Flamengo in his side’s 1-0 victory over former club Santos.

Gabigol spent last season on loan with Santos, scoring 20 goals in 47 games for the Brazilian club before moving over to rivals Flamengo on another loan deal.

The 23-year-old forward’s form is continuing to impress this season, exceeding the expectations placed upon him. So far this season Gabigol has scored 20 goals and provided 5 assists in only 23 games in all competitions for Flamengo in a season that may revitalise his career in Europe.

The Brazilian striker struggled to settle in Europe when he joined Inter in 2016 from Santos, spending one season in Italy where he only scored one goal in ten appearances for the Nerazzurri, before moving to Benfica on loan the following season, where he only made a single appearance.

Inter are ready to listen to offers for the exciting young striker as they look to recoup the €29.5 million spent on the forward.
