Slavia Prague coach Jindřich Trpišovský spoke at a press conference yesterday after his sides 3-0 victory over Slovacko, looking ahead to the Czech club’s Champions League opener against Inter next week, with Czech media outlet Idnes collecting his thoughts.

“Inter are a mega club, with a great coach and great players. But what I saw was just a bit of the new style of play. Do we have a chance? If I didn’t think we had a chance, I wouldn’t even have to go and play. I think we’ll do well, and we’ll play on a level playing field with Inter. They invested a lot of money in the summer, but it’s only their fourth game of the season.”

Trpišovský also talked about his opponent Antonio Conte on the sidelines.

“I heard from Pavel Nedved how he trained when Conte was at Juventus. He’s one of the most demanding coaches, his teams beat most of their opponents, but we’ll see how they go. He’s only been there for a short time, so his hand may not have fully manifested itself yet.”
