Inter’s Italian midfielder Roberto Gagliardini spoke to Italian media outlet InterTV following the Nerazzurri’s victory over Udinese at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milano’s San Siro district.

“I’m happy with my performance, with the way I came in and, above all, with the victory. That today was fundamental. My position? It’s not a question of system, I like to fit in and create opportunities. I had some opportunities, it didn’t go as I hoped, but the important thing was to win.”

Gagliardini spoke of how the midfielders practice in the defensive phase.

“We try for hours and hours on the pitch training on the movements to do. There’s still room for improvement, but we’re definitely on the right track.”

Finally, the midfielder spoke of the effect of Antonio Conte on the squad.

“Everyone will have a chance to play. The coach has complete confidence in us and it’s up to us to repay him when we’re called upon to do so. It’s an obligation for us.”
