Udinese defender Sebastien De Maio spoke to Italian media outlet Udinews TV following his side’s 1-0 loss to Inter yesterday, showing his bitterness about the defeat.
“We’re sorry, the team did what they had to do; it’s a shame we couldn’t equalise, because the performance was there. Rodrigo De Paul? He made a mistake and apologised, we know what he can give us, we hope it’s not a long disqualification and we’re waiting for him, trying to play as well as possible without him.”
“When I entered the locker room, I had the feeling of a team that did a great job, that had the right attitude to equalise. Unfortunately, we didn’t succeed and we go back home without anything, but playing like that against Brescia we can win, it’s a direct clash at home, we hope to make it our own.”
Inter’s victory yesterday against Udinese saw them top the league table after a perfect start with three wins in three games.
