Wanda Icardi, the wife, and agent, of Mauro Icardi has revealed that she and her husband are settling in nicely following his transfer deadline day switch to Paris Saint Germain.
The Argentine striker made his debut from the substitutes bench over the weekend as PSG secured a 1-0 victory over Strasbourg.
“I’m very happy, the match went well. Neymar’s goal was crazy. I didn’t know the stadium that well, but there was a great welcome for Mauro and the curva supported the team from start to finish,” she remarked as she appeared on Sport Mediaset show Tiki Taka.
“We’ve already made a group of friends and we took them to an Italian restaurant to let them know what we eat. Mauro’s name pronounced in French gave me a great buzz. It’s a great opportunity for him.
“They’re a top club and our children are very happy too. No-one can say ‘no’ to PSG. Out of all the possible destinations, they were the best in a logistical sense.”
She concluded: “A little while back, he was riding a scooter all over Paris and he sent me a photo: he’s very happy. You’re all invited to see Maurito.”
