Samir Handanovic knows that whilst Inter have improved recently they should not be satisfied and should be looking to get even better.

Speaking at today’s press conference ahead of tomorrow’s Champions League opener with Slavia Prague, he was firstly asked if he has been surprised by Antonio Conte.

“I think you know everything about him. In my opinion it’s not right to talk about him when he’s here, you know everything so you don’t need to explain it,” he responded.

Handanovic, who is Inter’s most experienced player in the squad, was then asked if he is struggling to get excited for the Champions League having played in it last year.

“If I do not get excited, I do not play football anymore. These are games that matter and hearing the Champions League anthem is a unique emotion.”

He concluded by discussing the improvements made to the squad in recent years.

“I think that in the last three years we have always strengthened but now we have changed a lot. We have to work and become even stronger.

“I don’t know if this is the strongest Inter side I have played in but I know that we have to certainly show what we can do every three days when we play. We will see where we end up.”
