Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa will complete a permanent transfer to Flamengo from Inter in December according to a report from Corriere dello Sport.

The two clubs have reached an agreement in principle for the Brazilian striker to turn his loan stay at the Mengao into a permanent one for a sum of just under €18 million.

Gabigol has been on loan with the Brazilian powerhouses since January and has been in scintillating form, having scored almost 30 goals across all competitions.

Reports in the media recently have suggested that as part of the deal Inter were seeking to get a right of first refusal on teen sensation Lincoln.

The Rome based news outlet however go on to detail that Inter have been unable to secure such an option as part of the deal for 23-year-old Gabigol.

Gabigol joined Inter from Santos in a €30 million deal but ultimately failed to live up to the mass hype that surrounded him and made just 10 appearances for the club, in which he scored once.
