Milan city mayor Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Sala has once again shared his desire to see both Inter and AC Milan remain at San Siro.
Inter and AC Milan’s intentions to depart San Siro in favour of building a new state-of-the-art ground are well known but ever since the clubs unveiled their plans to do so, Sala has maintained that he feels the best option for them and Milan is to stay at San Siro and renovate it.
“The procedure that the municipality of Milan is choosing is to give a voice to the city council, so that the council itself gives directions to themselves. They will have to express themselves,” Sala remarked in an interview with Radio Cor.
“My position as mayor and then on the council is that we want to hope that the clubs will also consider the hypothesis of restoring the San Siro . If the clubs are not interested, we will listen to their reasons why not.”
