Inter midfielder Stefano Sensi reflected upon his career prior to joining the Nerazzurri in an exclusive interview with Italian media outlet Sky Sports yesterday following the Nerazzurri’s 1-0 victory over Udinese.
“I’m recovering the first years of Serie A that I left behind for some nonsense of my own. To have the mentality I have now, I needed the mistakes of the past years, I was not the professional I am now. I only have my head on football, I try to give my best on the pitch. I listen, I take advice: fundamental things to do the best.”
The former Sassuolo man highlighted the importance of coach Antonio Conte to the squad.
“It’s essential to have a coach like Conte, he’s one of the best in the world. If you don’t have certain qualities, he’ll bring them to you. Just having him on the bench raises your attention and gives you the right tension that then you need to give your best. We think about winning, we think about game after game, we have the duty to try and we will certainly do it to the end.”
