Maniche: “Inter Are One Of The Strongest In Italy, Icardi Was Right To Join PSG”

Former Inter midfielder Maniche believes Inter have improved with thanks to their business over the Summer, including the appointment of Antonio Conte as the club’s manager.

“Inter made excellent purchases in the Summer transfer window. They are now stronger. Antonio Conte is an experienced coach and he will surely make Inter evolve and grow more. Inter for sure are one of the strongest sides in Italy,” he said in an interview with juvenews.eu.

The former Portuguese international, who made eight appearances during a loan spell at Inter, then went on to discuss Mauro Icardi’s departure from the club for French powerhouses Paris Saint Germain.

“He is one of the best strikers in the world today. If Icardi wasn’t happy at Inter, he was right to change clubs. A player should always look for a place to feel happy. I think that at PSG, Icardi will have the opportunity to achieve many goals.”
