Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane knows that if Mauro Icardi is to play against his side tomorrow for Paris Saint Germain then they will not be in for an easy ride.

“He is very good and has always shown it. He is a top striker. He is capable of making the difference and we know the kind of qualities that he has. I watched him when he was playing for Inter and now he is a starter with PSG,” the Frenchman said as part of his pre-match press conference.

Icardi made his first appearance for his new employers off of the substitutes bench in PSG’s 1-0 win over Strasbourg at the weekend following his Summer transfer deadline day move from Inter.

The 26-year-old striker has joined the French powerhouses on a season long loan with PSG having a reported €65 million option as part of the deal to turn the move permanent next Summer.
