Former AC Milan midfielder Kaka believes that his beloved Rossoneri have what it takes to beat Inter, despite the strength of the Nerazzurri, in this weekend’s first Derby della Madonnina of the season.

“It is very important for AC Milan because it is the first derby of the year, it is AC Milan-Inter, it is at home and it would be nice to win it,” the Brazilian, who has two spells with il Diavolo said in an interview with DAZN.

“Inter have strong players, but I think AC Milan can win and it would be important for the title race: if they are aiming for the title, winning the derby is fundamental.”

Many pundits and news outlets have Inter down as slight favourites heading into this match, which is due to kick-off at 20:45 local time on Saturday, due to their perfect start to the league campaign with them picking up nine points from nine.
