World renowned architect Stefano Boeri has made it clear that he wishes to see Inter and AC Milan proceed with their proposed new stadium idea.

“This is a city that has many souls. From the Pirellone and the Torre Velasca, through Motta and Alemagna, to Armani and Prada and then Inter and AC Milan,” he said in an interview with DAZN.

“When we were asked to think about the new stadium, I immediately answered yes because a stadium like this, for two teams like this, does not exist in the world, even if I do love San Siro.

“In the world Milan is at the forefront in various sectors, such as healthcare, university, design and publishing but in football we have got to recover some ground we have lost.”

He concluded by explaining the origins of his support for Inter.

“My support for Inter? It comes from the fact my father is one of five Inter supporting brothers. They are all supporters of Inter because their baby-sitter was engaged to a Nerazzurri striker.”
