Former Inter striker Aldo Serena has discussed the need for Inter to recover after their disappointing and unexpected 1-1 draw at home to Slavia Prague in the opening round of the Champions League group stages on Tuesday night.

“There is a lot of waiting to verify the state of health of Inter. Inter’s state clearly seemed different before the Champions League and now maybe they need to re-balance themselves a bit. The slip-up against Slavia Prague was a surprise,” he said in an interview with Radio Sportiva.

Serena then shared his comments on the spat that took place between Romelu Lukaku and Marcelo Brozovic after the Slavia Prague match.

After the match it is understood that the players found themselves in a war of words after Brozovic took offence to Lukaku demanding more courage from the team.

He said: “Things like that can happen, the important thing is that it ends there and does not involve people outside the locker room.”
