Inter Coach Antonio Conte’s Tactical Plan Behind Derby Win Against AC Milan

Inter coach Antonio Conte successfully motivated his players following the Nerazzurri’s disappointing performance against Slavia Prague in the Champions League earlier in the week, according to Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 50-year-old Italian coach’s methods and preparations helped a slumping Inter overcome their disappointing Champions League opener to bring happiness to their fans with a 2-0 win over city rivals AC Milan.

Also highlighted is Conte’s tactical plan for the derby, such as using Danilo D’Ambrosio to support Diego Godin in shutting down Milan forward Rafael Leão and bringing on Matteo Politano and Antonio Candreva to close out the game, not relaxing whilst a goal ahead.

The solid tactical plan and fortress like defence are a strong basis for the Nerazzurri moving forward, with Conte already looking in depth at mistakes in the game to help Inter improve before Wednesday’s meeting with Lazio next week.
