Inter full-back Danilo D’Ambrosio spoke to Italian broadcaster RaiSport following the Nerazzurri’s 2-0 victory over AC Milan in the Serie A Milan derby last night.

“We showed that we wanted to win, we wanted to give a reply after the Champions League. We need every match to prepare for the next one. Goals? When players of a certain level and a winning coach arrive, we need that mentality. You have to go off the pitch with a jersey drenched in sweat.”

“We’re working, we’re on the right track but we’re still in September. To scare the other teams, you have to continue to win.”

The 31-year-old Italian spoke of the biggest change since last season.

“We’ve changed now so that we don’t accept draws anymore, we always want the three points but for this we have to work.”

He also discussed Inter’s attack in the derby.

“It’s normal that the more goals we score, the more we benefit from them, but regardless of the attackers, the team’s mentality is important.”

Finally, the player showed the squad’s drive to win the title this season.

“We must aim for the maximum and make our opponents fear us. There’s a team to beat, we’ll try to bother them until the end.”
