Former Inter defender Massimo Paganin spoke to Italian media outlet InterTV last night following the Nerazzurri’s 2-0 victory over city rival’s AC Milan in the Milanese derby.

“A well-deserved victory. The team identity has been defined: construction of the game, high pressure, many recovered balls. I thought that the team could have suffered a drop in the second half, but this was not the case: it was excellent management of the breadth and depth of how to play.”

“A game prepared very well by Conte, both mentally and tactically. The result could have been even more emphatic, considering the three forwards’ play. This confirms the fact that the draw against Slavia Prague was only an accident on the way.”

Inter are currently top of the league table after a perfect start, with four wins in four games. The Nerazzurri are two points ahead of second placed Juventus, with Inter coach Antonio Conte hoping to end the domestic dominance of his former team.
