Inter’s defence is not only the best in Italy but joint best in Europe too according to a report from Turin based news outlet Tuttosport.

Antonio Conte’s Nerazzurri have been water tight at the back and have allowed just one goal in four Serie A matches this season, two goals less than joint second best sides Lazio and Milan, who have both conceded three.

Only Athletic Bilbao have managed to match Inter’s defensive record in Europe’s top five leagues and exactly like Inter in Italy, the Basque side find themselves top of the table in Spain.

Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg have conceded the least in the Bundesliga with both sides conceding three goals in the matches they have played so far.

Leicester City and Liverpool have the best defence in the Premier League having both conceded five goals in their opening five fixtures.

Finally, in France, Paris Saint Germain and Stade Reims have the best defensive records with each of them conceding only twice.
