Former Inter goalkeeper has reflected upon Inter’s 2-0 win over city rivals AC Milan in this season’s first Milan derby of the season at the weekend.
“The Milan derby went well, since I stopped playing, it is the third time that I have come to see it and we have won them all,” he said in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport on the sidelines of last night’s FIFA The Best awards in Milan.
The Brazilian was then asked about comparing Jose Mourinho and current Inter manager Antonio Conte.
“It is difficult to compare them because I only worked with one of the two of them. I was however with the team during pre-season in China and Singapore and it was clear to me that Conte is a tough guy and he strives for perfection.”
He concluded by discussing whether he believes Inter have what it takes to go all the way and win the Serie A title.
“In my opinion, Inter are the only team in Italy that can take the Scudetto away from Juventus because they have a great coach on the bench in Conte and Romelu Lukaku in attack. They also now have a winning attitude.”
