Former Inter defender Riccardo Ferri has shared his views on the recent spat between Inter duo Marcelo Brozovic and Romelu Lukaku.

Following Inter’s disappointing 1-1 draw against Slavia Prague on this day last week, reports surfaced in the media of a dispute occurring between Brozovic and Lukaku in the dressing room.

It is understood that after the match at San Siro, Lukaku addressed his new teammates following his Summer arrival at the club and called on them to show more courage. Brozovic is believed to have taken offence to this and the pair then ended up in a war of words and exchanged some strong insults against one another.

“The confrontation between Marcelo Brozovic and Romelu Lukaku? I do not know what happened between them but there was no need for the club’s management to get involved or the manager because the serenity of the locker room was not affected. The club must always be careful to safeguard the good of the group,” he said in an interview as he appeared on Rai Sport.
