Legendary Inter goalkeeper Walter Zenga has shared his thoughts and feelings on what he has made of Inter this season and what has stood out to him in particular.
Inter have won all four league games and are just one of two sides in Europe’s top five leagues to have made a perfect start, with the other side being Premier League outfit Liverpool.
“Inter have made a positive start so things can be looked at with a certain calm to them. Inter have given me the impression of being a strong and compact team, who have intensity and consistency,” he explained in an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport.
Zenga, who spent 16 years on Inter’s books between 1978-1994, then discussed new Inter manager Antonio Conte and a characteristic trait of Conte that he is already seeing in the Nerazzurri players.
“Inter was strong even before Antonio Conte arrived, as they qualified two years in a row for the Champions League but Antonio’s determination can already be seen in the team.”
