Claims made in the Italian media that Inter have significantly increased their asking price for Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa are completely unfounded according to a report from Fox Sports.
Reports have surfaced stating that Inter want between €25-30 million now for the young striker following his continued good form whilst on loan at Flamengo and after his long awaited return to the Brazilian national team.
Fox Sports journalist Leonardo Quesada has claimed that he has had it confirmed by some of the player’s representatives that there has been no price increase, at least as far as they are aware.
It has long been rumoured that Flamengo wish to sign the 23-year-old striker on a permanent basis at the end of his loan deal with the club which is due to expire in December and the report from Fox Sports goes on to state that the chances of Flamengo acquiring him permanently remain high.
