Cristiano Biraghi has spoken on how it felt to pull on the Nerazzurri shirt again in last night’s 1-0 win over Lazio following his return to the club over the Summer.

“My goal was always to come back here: I worked mainly for that. Now I’m back: every day I try to to give the maximum, for Inter and for my teammates,” he told Inter’s in-house channel Inter TV.

“It was a great feeling to play again. This is the stadium where I used to come and be a ball boy and the stadium where I came to cheer Inter on as a child. It makes me really proud to be back here.”

He then spoke more specifically on the match.

“I am very happy with the victory and that is the most important thing, individual satisfaction comes after that. When preparing, we prepare to allow us to play either down the left or the right and then it all depends on the dynamics of the match and how the opponents press us. In the first half we needed to put in a lot of effort but we showed a great deal of personality and strength.”
