Inter match-winner Danilo D’Ambrosio has expressed his happiness following Inter’s fifth consecutive victory to start the 2019/20 Serie A season.
“If we had lost or drawn today, the victory in the derby would have meant nothing. This is how we are looking at things and now we are looking to win again on Saturday. Playing against Lazio is never easy and they are a very experienced side with some excellent quality players,” he said in an interview with InterTV.
“Everything that you see from us has been worked on in training. In the first half we did not manage to do what the coach wanted from us but in the second half we played better and deserved the victory. The victory is the most important thing. The three points always matter.”
The Italian has alternated between centre back and wing back this season and has admitted it does not bother him where he plays.
“I am happy to play any kind of role. For me, there is no difference between playing at centre back or wing back, when you have a coach like Conte, regardless of the role you play, you always have memorised plays, as he always says. It is important to be aggressive and never give up.”
