The fact Inter played in mid-week had very little of an affect on the attendance, which is evidence of the unwavering support of the Nerazzurri faithful, a report from Corriere dello Sport highlights.
56,175 took in Inter’s 1-0 win over Lazio last night at San Siro, an attendance that was just 1816 less than the attendance at the previous home match in the league against Udinese, which was played at the weekend.
Inter have averaged a league-high 59,451 attendance across their opening three league games and whilst a few thousand shy of last year’s average, it will receive a nice boost when Inter play host to arch-rivals Juventus at the start of next month.
The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to state that ticket sales are going extremely well for the match against the Bianconeri and that it could be announced as completely sold out as early as the start of next week.
