Mirko Vucinic has praised former manager Antonio Conte for the early success he has led Inter to since taking charge of the Nerazzurri during the Summer.

Inter currently sit at the top of the Serie A table having won all five of their league games to date and they have a two point lead heading into this weekend.

“Conte’s biggest strength is that his players all follow him. He sees things before anyone else does. Inter are doing well and Conte has played a big role in this,” Vucinic, who worked with Conte at Juventus, said in an interview with Centro Suono Sport.

Vucinic, who also played for Lecce and Roma during his 14 year stay in Italian football before moving to Al Jazira, was then asked about Inter’s famous treble winning side of 2009/10 and just how good a side they were under Jose Mourinho.

“We had the misfortune of coming up against an Inter side stronger than ever. That side was even stronger than the current Juventus side is.”
