Inter coach Antonio Conte is unsure whether he should start Romelu Lukaku in tonight’s Serie A game against Sampdoria, according to Rome based newspaper La Repubblica.

The Italian coach had not yet decided this morning if he would rest the forward ahead of next week’s important games against Barcelona in the Champions League and Juventus in the Derby d’Italia.

Conte has the option to start Argentinian striker Lautaro Martinez and Matteo Politano up front instead, but Lukaku has already scored three goals in his first six games for Inter and he may start before being taken off at half-time.

If Lukaku does begin tonight’s game on the bench, that will allow former Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez to make his first start for the Nerazzurri since joining from the Red Devils earlier this summer.

Inter’s perfect start in the league can be extended to six games in a row today if they can beat rock-bottom Sampdoria, whose disastrous form recently sees them bottom of the table with only three points.
