Inter are preparing to battle Juventus for the signature of Brescia’s teenage star Sandro Tonali, according to reports in Gazzetta dello Sport this morning.

The 19-year-old Italian midfielder has made a good impression during his first few games in Serie A and it hasn’t gone unnoticed in Turin.

Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici has already contacted Brescia to start negotiations for Tonali, hoping to beat other interested Italian clubs to a deal.

But Inter are keen to stop the move by the Bianconeri, hoping to acquire the player before they do.

Similar to their tactic against Juventus in the Federico Chiesa situation, Inter plan to launch an equally strong offer for the 19-year-old if Juventus pull the trigger.

However, an offer could still come from abroad for Tonali, with Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund both actively following the player.

Tonali himself refuses to comment on the talk, instead preferring to focus on his play on the pitch.

Brescia lost 2-1 against Juventus on Tuesday night and will host Inter in the next round of midweek fixtures next month.
