Lautaro Martinez will be leading Inter’s attack this evening when the Nerazzurri play Sampdoria in their latest Serie A fixture, according to Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The Argentinian forward has had a slow start to this season, scoring only once against Cagliari so far, although the numbers do not do the player’s positive performances justice. Before being substituted against AC Milan in last weekend’s derby, Martinez was dangerous and quick, scaring the Rossoneri in the final third.

The 22-year-old is set to have either former Manchester United forward Alexis Sanchez or Matteo Politano alongside him tonight, with coach Antonio Conte expected to rest Romelu Lukaku.

Both Inter and Conte are expecting great things from Martinez, due to his professionalism and his play with the Argentinian national team. In the 13 games he has played for Argentina, he has scored nine goals, three of which came earlier this month against Mexico in a friendly.
