Former Juventus assistant coach Massimo Carrera spoke highly of Inter coach Antonio Conte to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia following the Nerazzurri’s 3-1 win over Sampdoria earlier tonight.

“Conte is magical, for me he is among the best coaches in the world. He’s exciting, he makes the team do what he wants. He ensures that his enthusiasm is taken in and manages to involve everyone, then he demands a lot from himself and then also from everyone else.”

“Inter are a balanced team and know what they want, now they only think of Barcelona, and then they will think of Juventus after the match in Barcelona.”

Carrera worked under the 50-year-old Italian at both Juventus and Italy as his assistant manager, two places where Conte found success.

Inter are currently top of the league table after a perfect start, winning all six of their opening games. They are currently two points ahead of Conte’s former team, Juventus, who are in second place.
